Jeremy Debuysschere

Jeremy Debuysschere, known professionally as JEREM, is a Belgian bass player, producer, and electronic musician based in Brussels.

He started music at a very young age through piano before quickly becoming fully dedicated to the bass guitar, which has remained his main instrument ever since. Alongside a strong interest in synthesizers and electronic music, he spent his teenage years immersed in funk, pop, and jazz bass playing while developing a fascination for artists such as Skrillex and The Prodigy. After buying his first Moog synthesizer, he genuinely thought he could plug his bass directly into it and control it simply by playing. That curiosity for blending bass guitar and synthesis would later become a defining part of his musical identity.

At 19, Jeremy entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he studied jazz bass for six years while simultaneously becoming active in the Belgian pop and alternative scene. Over the years, he collaborated with artists such as Charles, Berre, Peet, K.ZIA, and more recently Oscar and the Wolf. Alongside his work as a sideman, Jeremy was involved in several independent electronic projects, including Jean Paul Groove, a trio where he developed a very personal approach to bass effects and electronic textures, performing synth bass lines entirely on bass guitar. This naturally evolved into bringing synth and Moog-inspired bass parts into live pop performances using effects and sound design.

Inspired by a rich local scene and innovative bass players such as Tim Lefebvre, John Davis, Dries Laheye (STUFF.), and Federico Pecoraro (ECHT!), Jeremy refined not only his playing but also his ear for production, eventually becoming a producer himself.

Recently, he started sharing videos on Instagram under @‌jerem.deb, blending bass effects, MIDI bass tracking, wavetable synthesis, and electronic production. His work quickly caught the attention of internationally recognized artists and music platforms.

Today, Jeremy proudly joins the family of Sadowsky Artists and looks forward to bringing his Sadowsky basses on stage, on tour, and into his upcoming productions.
