The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-Fret Vintage M/J bass offer the looks of a vintage M/J bass, but with that famous modern Sadowsky tone. This 5-string left-hand fretless bass, seen here in a Solid Firemist Gold Metallic Satin finish, features a sleek, undersized, chambered J-Style body that is made of American Red Alder. The neck is made of Roasted American Maple and features a Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard. Special features of this bass include a hum-cancelling Sadowsky J-Style neck pickup and a Sadowsky Quad-Coil Humbucker with Alnico V magnets. The active electronics have true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost, and two 3-way toggles switch for pickup configuration (series / parallel / single coil). This bass also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and the Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-Fret Vintage M/J basses are made exclusively in Germany. The weight of this bass is never more than 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg). A good choice for players who want a lightweight bass that offers a modern bass sound.
Construction
Body
The chambered Red Alder body offers you balanced, rounded and full-bodied tones with strong mids, and a warmer sound compared to Swamp Ash. Our workshop sources the best American Red Alder and specially chambers each body to reduce weight without sacrificing the tonal qualities.
Neck
A roasted maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboards on our MasterBuilt basses offer a brightness that is in-between Maple and Morado, but with more immediate attack and fundamental tones that are both strong and focused.
