The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 24-Fret Modern Bass is perfect for any player looking for a modern bass with that famous Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string bass has a chambered American Red Alder body with a Solid Black Satin finish. The body shape is sleek and undersized with deeper cutaways for better playability and a full two octave note range. The neck is made from Roasted American Maple and has a Morado (Pau Ferro) fretboard. This bass is fitted with two passive Sadowsky Soapbar pickups, both in a modern position, and has active electronics that offer true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, as well as treble and bass boost. Hardware includes Sadowsky light open gear tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge. Each Sadowsky MasterBuilt 24-Fret Modern Bass is made exclusively in our workshop in Germany and weighs no more than 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg). A good choice for bass players who are seaching for a light, modern looking bass with that special modern Sadowsky sound.
Construction
Body
The chambered Red Alder body offers you balanced, rounded and full-bodied tones with strong mids, and a warmer sound compared to Swamp Ash. Our workshop sources the best American Red Alder and specially chambers each body to reduce weight without sacrificing the tonal qualities.
Neck
A roasted maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard on our MasterBuilt basses offer a sweet, warm and mellow sound with excellent tonal definition.
