The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 24-Fret Modern Bass is perfect for any player looking for a modern bass with that famous Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 6-string fretless bass has a chambered American Red Alder body with a Solid Black Satin finish. The body shape is sleek and undersized with deeper cutaways for better playability and a full two octave note range. The neck is made from Roasted American Maple with a 2.13" / 54 mm wide nut and has a Tigerstripe Ebony fretboard. This bass is fitted with two passive Sadowsky Soapbar pickups, both in a modern position, and has active electronics that offer true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, as well as treble and bass boost. Hardware includes Sadowsky light open gear tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge. String spacing at the bridge is 0.71" / 18 mm and the distance between all of the strings is 3.54" / 90 mm. Each Sadowsky MasterBuilt 24-Fret Modern Bass is made exclusively in our workshop in Germany and weighs no more than 9.2 lbs (4.17 kg).
