Colin Greenwood

Colin Charles Greenwood (born June 26, 1969) can without exaggeration be described as a living legend. With his younger brother, guitarist Jonny Greenwood, Colin attended Abingdon School in Abingdon, England. Together the brothers founded the band Radiohead in the mid-1980s. With more than 30 million albums sold, the group is now considered pioneers of the alternative rock genre. In 2019, the british band was well-deservedly inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Colin prefers to play the bass with his fingers and rarely uses the plectrum. Its warm and round bass sound is a hugely important feature of Radiohead's band sound. Colin Greenwood not only plays the electric bass, but also the double bass and various other instruments such as keyboards, percussions, samplers, etc. Aside from his work for Radiohead, Colin also works with numerous other artists, including Tamino, Gaz Coombes, Nick Cave or Warren Ellis. We at Sadowsky are very proud that Colin has chosen our instruments and uses them live and in the studio. Great to have you in our family, Colin!
