Verdine White - Earth Wind & Fire

Verdine White is a musician who doesn't need much introduction because everyone knows him anyway! Born on July 25, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, he is the brother of Earth, Wind and Fire band founder Maurice White. Verdine has been playing bass in the group since 1970. The band has sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Even after his brother's departure, White continues to lead the legendary funk & soul band together with singer Philip Bailey. Verdine's extremely catchy and powerful bass lines are undoubtedly an important pillar of Earth, Wind and Fire's sound. Just think of classic hits like “September”, “Let’s Groove”, “Fantasy”, “Shining Star” or “Boogie Wonderland”!

Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Verdine White 19th on the list of the 50 greatest bassists of all time. However, in addition to his work with E,W&F, Verdine also works with other artists and groups. He produced Level 42's 1983 album "Standing In The Light" and played bass on the Jennifer Lopez album "This Is Me... Then" in 2002, which includes the smash hits "Jenny from the Block" and “All I Have.” We at Sadowsky couldn't be prouder to have been able to build a signature model for a living legend like Verdine White.

The four-string Sadowsky Verdine White Bass has a P/J pickup configuration, active Sadowsky electronics including the famous Vintage Tone Control and the concentric pot with treble and treble boost. The model also includes ultra-light Sadowsky tuners as well as the well-known Sadowsky 2D bridge, which allows for super-fast string changes. Thank you for your incredible life's work, Verdine - and thank you for your trust in Sadowsky basses from our hands!
