The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 21-Fret Standard J/J bass not only looks great, it also plays and sounds fantastic! Fitted with the famous Sadowsky electronics, you get that special Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful (but never muddy!) bass, mids that are present while not too aggressive, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string left-hand version has a sleek, undersized J-Style body made of chambered American Red Alder that is finished in a Burgundy Red Transparent Satin finish. The satin-finished neck is made of Roasted American Maple and has a Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard. Special features of this bass include two hum-cancelling Sadowsky J-Style pickups, active electronics with true bypass, treble and bass boost and Vintage Tone Control. It also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Made exclusively in our workshop in Germany, this bass weighs never more than 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg). A great choice for bass players looking for a beautiful and lightweight bass that offers a modern bass sound.
Construction
Body
The chambered Red Alder body offers you balanced, rounded and full-bodied tones with strong mids, and a warmer sound compared to Swamp Ash. Our workshop sources the best American Red Alder and specially chambers each body to reduce weight without sacrificing the tonal qualities.
Neck
A roasted maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard on our MasterBuilt basses offer a sweet, warm and mellow sound with excellent tonal definition.
