The Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Vintage J/J Bass pays tribute to Roger Sadowsky’s ability to greatly improve an already successful bass design via a number of detailed changes resulting in that special Sadowsky bass tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass. Present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble. This 4-string left-hand bass features a sleek, undersized chambered J-Style body made of American Red Alder that is finished in a Natural Transparent Satin finish. It is fitted with Sadowsky J-Style pickups and active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control and treble / bass boost. The American Maple neck has a Morado (Pau Ferro) fretboard with 24 nickel silver frets. Hardware includes ultra-light Sadowsky tuners and the special Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge. Made exclusively in Germany, a Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Vintage J/J Bass will never weigh more than 8.9 lbs / 4.0 kg. It’s an excellent choice for bass players who are looking for a lightweight instrument with a modern bass sound.
Construction
Body
The chambered Red Alder body offers you balanced, rounded and full-bodied tones with strong mids, and a warmer sound compared to Swamp Ash. Our workshop sources the best American Red Alder and specially chambers each body to reduce weight without sacrificing the tonal qualities.
Neck
A maple neck featuring a double action truss rod for precise neck adjustment and two carbon fibre rods to reinforce the neck and maintain stability.
Fingerboard
The Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard on our MetroLine basses offer a sweet, warm and mellow sound with excellent tonal definition.
